Dr. John H. Braccio Ph.D.
Doctor John H.Braccio has been in private practice as a Fully Licensed Psychologist in Michigan since 1978. He continues an active private practice. He earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 1971. He founded Regional Psychological Services in 1981 and continues to be the Director.
In a professional career beginning as a classroom teacher in 1966, Dr. Braccio has taught school in California and Michigan, been a public school administrator, worked as a consultant at various levels, has done innumerable inservices and training sessions, has taught many graduate and undergraduate classes at Michigan State University, has done executive coaching and consultations, and has done many thousands of hours of individual psychotherapy and psychological assessments. He lectures, does workshops and writes on such topics as AD/HD, Weight Loss, Marriage and Divorce, Addiction, Smoking Cessation, Anger Management, Test Anxiety, Learning Disabilities and Hypnosis. He has written over 400 newspaper articles, three books and developed numerous self-help tapes, CDs and DVDs.
Dr. Braccio has determined he would like to share the knowledge, wisdom and insights he has learned from working with thousands of persons since he began his career in education and psychology as a classroom room teacher in 1966. Even though he developed many self-help tape programs over a 25 year period, it was not until 2005 that he was determined to share his vast knowledge on a large scale.

They combine the latest information and Dr. Braccio’s self-help ideas on a DVD or CD and a powerful trance hypnosis self-help, deep-relaxation CD for each person. John A. Braccio, Ph.D.
John is a Fully Licensed Psychologist. John was a school psychologist for Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 5 years and also worked as a special education teacher in a Miami, FL public high school and served as a job skills developer for handicapped students. John earned his B.S. at Michigan State University in 1999, his M.S. in 2001, his Specialist in 2003 and his Ph.D. in 2008. John currently works as a school psychologist for Eaton Regional Education Service Agency and in private practice at Regional Psychological Services. John is highly experienced in comprehensive assessments that cover areas such as mental status, AD/HD. Learning Disabilities, anger management, stress management, work related issues, self esteem concerns, phobias, and family interaction problems. John also has worked with many athletes over the years focusing on mental preparation and optimal performance and goal attainment. Included with his treatment methods, John includes hypnosis,visualization, and cognitive restructuring techniques that replace negative thoughts with positive ones. John has done workshops, lectures, and presented at professional conferences. John appears with Dr. Braccio on various programs offered by Regional Psychological Services in our online store.
Austin Townsend
Austin earned his B.S. from Michigan State University and his M.A. from Wayne State University. Austin began working at Regional Psychological Services in 2017. He also works as a School Psychologist for the Holt Public Schools where he works with grades pre-k through 12.
Sara (Braccio) Starrak, MA. LLP.
Sara earned her B.S. from Michigan State University in 2002 and her M.A. from Wayne State University in 2005. She began her career working as a research assistant at the Julian Samora Reseach Institute in East Lansing, Michigan. She co-authored an article entitled “Residency in the United States, Subjective Well-Being, and Depression in an older Mexican-Origin Sample”, found in the Journal of Aging and Health. She worked as a School Psychologist from 2005-2010 for Holt Public Schools where she worked with grades pre-k through 12.She has worked in private practice at Regional Psychological Services from 2005 to the present time. Sara currently is the proud mother of three young children.
Linda Kibby, Office Manager
Linda Kibby, Office Manager, graduated from Haslett High School in 1983. She began working for Dr. John H. Braccio while in high school and has been with the practice for fourty-two years. She is married to Marc Kibby, Head Softball Coach of Lansing Community College. She has a son, Austin Townsend, who graduated with high honors from Michigan State University with a degree in Psychology (following the tradition). He now attends graduate school at Wayne State University in Psychology with the hopes of joining the practice in the future.
